He concluded that e-mail works great for people who really know each other. As a marketing medium, it seems to be losing effectiveness because of its greatest advantage \u2013 low cost. The low cost is leading to <a href=\"http:\/\/deansmailing.com\/rationalmarketing\/index.php\/2010\/09\/e-mail-open-rates-inboxes-cluttered\/\" target=\"_blank\">more and more volume<\/a> which is leading to <a href=\"..\/index.php\/2010\/08\/study-most-e-mail-recipients-delete-message-within-seconds\/\">increased filtering<\/a> and blocked messages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Email Cycle\" src=\"http:\/\/deansmailing.com\/art\/emailcycle.gif\" alt=\"E-mail as an Advertising Medium\" width=\"403\" height=\"302\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He concluded his thoughts by saying, \u201cmeanwhile your six or seven pieces of <a title=\"Direct Mail\" href=\"http:\/\/deansmailing.com\" target=\"_blank\">direct mail<\/a> will be waiting patiently for you at home, like the family dog.
